Lynn George
President
Lynn George serves as the president of the Service Dog Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to training Great Danes for individuals with mobility disabilities. With a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of those with mobility challenges, Lynn has been an integral part of the organization for five years. Initially joining as the Director of Operations, Lynn was promoted to president in 2022.

Lynn's extensive experience in raising and training Great Danes spans over 22 years. She has run a Great Dane rescue organization for seven years and has successfully trained and shown Great Danes in obedience, winning several titles. This experience significantly contributes to the Service Dog Project's successful implementation of positive reinforcement training procedures. Her hands-on expertise ensures that the training programs are both effective and humane, promoting a strong bond between the service dogs and their handlers. This expertise has been instrumental in the organization's ability to produce well-trained, reliable service dogs that greatly improve the quality of life for their recipients.

In addition to her role at the Service Dog Project, Lynn is an American Kennel Club (AKC) approved Canine Good Citizen evaluator, a testament to her expertise and recognition within the canine training community. Her background in hospitality management further enhances her capability in managing and overseeing the organization's operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Lynn's unique blend of skills and experiences makes her a vital asset to the Service Dog Project, driving its mission forward with passion and professionalism.

Lynn Wronkowski
Board Chairperson
In Lynn’s role as Chairperson of Service Dog Project, she brings 25+ years of invaluable experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on benefits, compensation, and organizational structure. Throughout her career, she has honed her skills in strategic planning, fostering positive workplace environments, and ensuring that employees are supported and valued. Lynn feels an overwhelming sense of joy and fulfillment watching a recipient meet and work alongside their service dog. Witnessing a recipient’s growing confidence and independence reinforces the profound impact a carefully trained service dog has on a recipient’s daily life. This experience reaffirms Lynn’s commitment to the mission of Service Dog Project. As Chairperson, Lynn is enthusiastic about leveraging her experiences to steer Service Dog Project towards achieving its mission and goals. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the community we serve and is dedicated to driving initiatives that make a difference. With a strategic mindset and a wealth of knowledge in Human Resources, Lynn is committed to leading Service Dog Project towards success and ensuring that the organization thrives enabling us to change lives one dog at a time.

Andy Meyer
Treasurer
In Andy's role as treasurer of Service Dog Project, Inc., he applies his experience from having founded and grown multiple computer engineering companies. Andy served as both Chief Technology Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In these positions, his focus was on providing unique services in a highly dynamic industry while ensuring a stable financial foundation for the companies.
It is with a deep appreciation that Andy has witnessed firsthand the impact of a mobility service dog. They can enable individuals with physical disabilities to live full and independent lives by providing physical support and stability. The remarkable improvement that a service dog can bring to someone's life is truly inspiring, and it fuels Andy's dedication to this cause.
As Treasurer, Andy's goal is to leverage his financial expertise to help provide financial stability for the Service Dog Project, Inc. By ensuring the organization's resources are managed effectively and efficiently, he aims to support its mission of providing mobility
service dogs to those in need. Andy is committed to securing a robust financial future for the organization, allowing it to continue and expand its vital work.

Alyssa Connick
Secretary
Alyssa is a business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management expert, providing consulting services in the public and private sector. Alyssa is a regular volunteer at Service Dog Project (SDP) and dog mom to Duke, one of the breeding dogs at SDP.
Alyssa is the acting Board Secretary and additionally manages SDP's social media. Alyssa manages all external communications including public announcements and communications with our donors and corporate sponsors. She is also a leading contributor for our grant writing efforts. You can often times find Alyssa and Duke at fundraising and awareness events spreading awareness about our mission and the importance of accessibility for all.

Jami Snow
Board Officer
Jami has been an onsite volunteer for Service Dog Project since 2019. She is responsible for the physical care of the dogs’ living
environments. She delights in taking care of the dogs from birth to their placement as Service Dogs.
With nearly 40 years of experience in Retail Management Jami brings her focus of customer service, scheduling, budgeting and employee development to us daily. Additionally, she supports her community as Chairperson of The Board of Assessors.
Jami is passionate about providing recipients with the independence that a well trained Service Dog provides to each recipient and their family. She is a strong advocate for Service Dog Project, its missions, dogs and recipients. She is committed to “Changing lives, one dog at a time”.

Jim Grasso
Board Officer
Jim's service dog, Gibson, has been instrumental in enabling him to live a normal life despite his balance difficulties and health issues. Jim's involvement with the Service Dog Project (SDP) began nearly six years ago with his wife, Kim, starting as volunteers taking on tasks like cleaning kennels and repairing fences. Over time, their responsibilities increased, and they played more significant roles within the organization, including socialization training of SDP dogs by taking them to places like Home Depot, doctor’s offices, and supermarkets.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jim and Kim fostered Gibson for nearly six months before Jim officially adopted him. Now, Jim proudly serves as a board member of the Service Dog Project.
Professionally, Jim is semi-retired, having formerly served as the founder, Chairman & CEO of Grasso Group US, a public relations, crisis communication, and government affairs consulting firm. With over 40 years of experience, Jim has worked in senior C- level roles for leading energy companies, including Mobil, Shell, HESS, and Duke Energy. He founded Grasso Associates in 2001, later renaming it Grasso Group US to expand services. Jim also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses as an Adjunct Faculty member at Boston University’s College of Communication. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Communication, cum laude, and a Master of Science in Public Relations from Boston University’s College of Communication. Throughout his career, Jim has served on various boards and executive committees of businesses and non-profit organizations.
As a board member of the Service Dog Project, Jim leverages his extensive experience in public relations and communication to enhance the organization's outreach and visibility. He plays a crucial role in strategic planning and fundraising efforts, ensuring the continued success and growth of SDP's mission to provide service dogs to those in
need.

Rick Connick
Board Officer
Rick has over 14 years in public sector community outreach experience. A long time Great Dane enthusiast, Rick developed a relationship with Service Dog Project (SDP), three years ago. Rick is dog dad to one of the SDP breeding dogs, and is also an advocate for dogs as service animals and therapy animals to increase accessibility for individuals and communities.
Rick manages SDP's website and merchandise store. He can often be found designing clothing as a tool to spread awareness about SDP's mission, or building interactive components of our website.

Sharon Teagues
Board Officer
Sharon is a long-time educator with over 18 years of experience invested in educating across diverse audiences. At Service Dog Project (SDP), Sharon leads the breeding mother program where she educates volunteers and staff on caring for new mothers and puppies including basic health practices, mother and puppy safety and early training for our newest litters. Sharon’s expertise lays the foundation for the training of our puppies.
When Sharon is not supporting the breeding education program, she is leading our volunteer and internship opportunities. Sharon creates and maintains relationships with a variety of universities, colleges and secondary education institutions to educate on accessibility and the Service Dog Project mission, as well as source volunteers and interns who are the lifeblood of Service Dog Project.

Sharon can frequently be found at our local fundraising events with retired SDP breeding mom Capri and her two Great Dane offspring Mandy and Boom.

Andy VanBrocklin
Board Officer
Andy is a board member of the Service Dog Project, a non-profit organization specializing in raising and training Great Danes to assist mobility-challenged individuals. With a background in community involvement, Andy has been instrumental in various fundraising initiatives, including campaigns for the United Way, Children's Hospital, Special Surfers, and Main Attraction Water Skiing Adaptive. His extensive experience in fundraising has significantly contributed to the success and growth of these organizations.

Andy's passion for service dogs stems from a deeply personal experience. He was inspired by the transformative impact on his son when he received a service dog. Witnessing the positive changes not only in his son but also in other recipients over time, Andy felt a strong calling to give back to the Service Dog Project. This commitment is further fueled by the memory of his late son, whose heavenly birthday coincided with a pivotal moment when Andy received a phone call to meet Wendy, a service dog he felt was a gift from his late son to his older brother.

In his role at the Service Dog Project, Andy actively engages with the local community to recruit the necessary volunteers essential for the organization's operations. His efforts ensure that the Service Dog Project has a steady stream of dedicated individuals to support its mission. Andy's dedication to the cause is a testament to his belief in the transformative power of service dogs and his desire to honor his son's memory by making a difference in the lives of others.
