  • Will there be future opportunities to sponsor more puppies?
Yes! Check back for our next puppies available for sponsorship, coming soon.
  • Can I meet the puppy I sponsored?
Yes, if you are in the area or at an event we are attending, please stop by to say 'Hi!'
  • How long does my sponsorship last?
Service Dog Project's service dogs spend approximately 18 months being raised and trained for the partner. Your sponsorship makes this journey possible. Not every dog is suitable to graduate as a service dog; it takes an exceptional dog. All dogs must meet our standards of trained skills, health, and temperament to ensure quality placements and happy working dogs. It is important to note that a SDP puppy can be released from the program at any time. Ongoing updates will be provided through professional training until graduation or release. If your pledged puppy is released exceptionally early, accommodations will be made.
  • How much does it cost to pledge a puppy?
The cost to pledge a puppy is $360 or $20 per month. This donation contributes to our mission of providing professionally trained service dogs to recipients with mobility-challenges. Plus, you'll get plenty of puppy milestones along the way!
  • What does my donation support?
Your donation supports the puppy's care throughout their training including food, vet visits, immunizations, pet supplies, and more. This allows SDP to provide these professionally trained service dogs to recipients.
  • What kind of updates can I expect on my puppy?
You will receive an initial email with our printable certificate of sponsorship and a social media post to share. Once your sponsored puppy begins his/her training, you will receive monthly email updates that include updated photos and information on what the puppy has been learning and where they are headed next in their journey to become a service dog.
  • How do I pledge a puppy?
Please click on the "Support" button next to the puppy you would like to pledge for and fill out the form. Make sure to include the contact information of the person who should receive the updates. If you want to sponsor more than one puppy, please fill out a separate form for each one.
